Preparation

TRIMANI espresso (whole beans) is ideally suited for professional portafilter machines as well as fully automated coffee machines.

The espresso should always be freshly ground as the aroma of finely ground coffee dissipates within 15 to 30 minutes. The barista presses the freshly ground espresso powder into the sieve by applying approximatelly 20 kg / 45 lbs. of pressure.

For portafilter machines TRIMANI recommends the following preparation:

Amount for a single cup: 8 - 9 g / 0.2 - 0.3 oz.
Brewing temperature: 92 - 94 °C / 197 – 201° F
Brewing time: 25 sec
Extraction: 25 ml

TRIMANI recommends that filter coffee be prepared using a manual filter or cafetière, also known as Frensh press. We suggest the following:

Amount for a single cup (200 ml): 10 - 12 g
Brewing temperature: 94°C / 201°F
Brewing time: 3 - 4 min
Water quality: 5° - 7° German water hardness, weakly mineralized
